This engineering role will work side by side with the production team to diagnose, debug, and determine root cause of failure on product and multilayer printed circuit board assemblies (PCBA) and be a key contributor to the development and improvement of processes that produce, calibrate, and test circuits and instruments in a complex, low-volume manufacturing environment.
The individual will build deep product knowledge and advanced level troubleshooting skills for the assigned products working closely with production assemblers/technicians, test engineers, hardware teams, and leadership to develop processes that meet the business needs.
The engineer will maintain enough expertise to be a first line of defense against technical problems and escalate issues to other engineering teams as necessary.
Responsibilities:
Developing and updating troubleshooting guides.
Using advanced troubleshooting skill to locate issues on complex system, PCBA's, and electrical components.
Driving and managing projects to continuously improve product quality.
Investigate, determine root cause, and putting corrective action in place for quality issues.
Managing the impact of product changes on the production process.
Maintaining accurate and effective process documentation.
Lead a cross functional team to quickly address line down and other major quality issues.
Qualifications:
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering preferred (other engineering disciplines to be considered) 2 years' experience in a manufacturing engineering role in an electronics-related industry.
Strong data analysis skills Structured problem solving background/interest preferred.
Strong people skills.
Strong verbal and written communication.
Capable of seeking out problems and developing solutions.
Must be comfortable with changing priorities and interruptions.
Must be able to effectively work on multiple projects simultaneously.
Ability to work cross-functionally and across different levels in an organization.
Must be able to develop a working knowledge of electronic systems and components.
This position's primary/essential functions are subject to U.
S.
Government ITAR compliance requirements under current government contracts.
Therefore, all employees in this position must be either:
1) a U.
S.
